'Dance for All' Community Care Inclusive Dance Scheme 2025-26

To reinforce the promotion of inclusiveness to the general public, the '"Dance for All" Community Care Inclusive Dance Scheme' will continue in 2025-26.  With its base at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, the scheme features a series of performances, involving disabled performers, to be held at Piazza and Foyer Stage of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.  In addition, a year-long dance training programme will be offered to students of special schools by a professional dance group.  Upon completion of the training, participants will stage finale performance at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.

Artistic Advisor: Andy Wong Ting-lam
Andy Wong Ting-lam graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 1990, majoring in ballet. He later studied modern dance in New York and joined the Hong Kong Ballet and later the City Contemporary Dance Company.  In 1995, he re-established 'DanceArt HK' with a focus on developing modern dance and promoting dance education.  He is also the founder of various dance groups, including 'Dancing Heart Troupe', 'DancingAngels', 'Music Soulmates', and dance group for seniors 'Dance up'.  Wong has received the Dance Year Award from the Hong Kong Dance Alliance twice and was honored with the 'Outstanding Individual in Cultural and Arts Promotion' award by the Home Affairs Bureau in 2006.  In 2007, he received the 'Arts Achievement Award' from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, and in 2012, he was presented with the 'Chief Executive's Commendation for Community Service' by the Hong Kong SAR Government.  Wong has extensive experience in teaching dance to individuals with different abilities and possesses a wealth of experience in stage performances, choreography, dance teaching, and artistic training.

•Exhibition and "Edutainment Channel"

We will regularly update and display highlight clips and pictures of various activities, as well as the training programmes in the exhibition of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre and the LCSD's "Edutainment Channel" to share the progress of the scheme with the public.

•In-school training programme

DancingAndy and Dancers 'Dance with Me' Dance in Practice Project is a whole-year long dance training programme for two special schools, The Jockey Club Hong Chi School and Caritas Lok Kan School, encouraging them to experience the joy of dance and integrate into society through their involvement and participation in dance.  They will participate in the public finale performance at the Foyer of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre on 5 July 2026, to showcase their learning outcomes.  The scheme also provides training for teachers of the two participated schools in order to encourage them to integrate dance as a creative tool, help students express themselves through movement, explore their potential, and showcase their artistic talents.
