Contents

This programme allows students to learn communication and to enhance social interaction skills through group interaction in dancing.  Students can gradually grow in a harmonious and inclusive environment, finding their happiness.  The programme creates a positive learning environment where every student can enjoy the joy of dancing, experience the wonderful process of artistic life at school, and then appreciate themselves and feel the truth, goodness and beauty of the world.

Implementation

  • September 2025 to July 2026
  • The programme will run for 11 months in three phases

Phase 1:
In-school Demonstration Performance (1 session)

September 2025

The dance group will arrange a demonstration performance at the participating school to arouse students' interest in the programme.

Phase 2:
Dance Training Workshops (2 classes per school, 20 sessions per class)

September 2025 to July 2026

The instructor will teach basic dance movements and techniques based on students' ability, helping them to develop physical coordination and to express themselves through dance.  Moreover, the instructor will lead the students to prepare for a 1-hour performance for the public finale showcase.

Teacher Development Workshop (1 session)

September 2025 to July 2026

Provide a 3-hour training for teachers of participated schools on the theme of "Movement and Expression", encourage teachers to integrate dance as a creative tool, helping students express themselves through movement, explore their potential, and showcase their artistic talents.

Phase 3:
Finale Performance (1 performance)

5 July 2026 (Sun)

Students who have completed the school-year-long training will showcase their dance skills and training outcomes in the public finale performance to be held at the Foyer of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.
