PAT02 | A Kidsummer Night's Dream (a Cantonese Musical) by Musical Dreams Theatrical (Completed)parent

About the Programme

A Kidsummer Night's Dream is a musical adaptation of Shakespeare's most popular work for the stage A Midsummer Night's Dream.  This fantasy musical was written specially for children and families featuring Shakespeare's classic comedy, kings and queens, humble workers, fairies as well as stunning songs and dance sequences.

The musical will be performed in Cantonese, with simplified storyline and dialogues accessible for schoolchildren.  Seven professional musical performers will play multiple roles of the three interlocking plots embedded in the comedy.

As an educational programme, A Kidsummer Night's Dream introduces not only the beloved play of Shakespeare, but also the unique art form of musical theatre to schoolchildren.  It aims to enhance the appreciation of musical theatre and provide an enjoyable theatre experience for the young audience.

About the Arts Group

Musical Dreams Theatrical was established in 2020 as a non-profit performing arts group operated by the Hong Kong 3 Arts Musical Institue.  The group has participated in the school's performing arts programs and providing year-round musical theater training courses for primary and secondary schools.
