During the workshops, students will learn basic dance techniques and explore the creative process under the guidance of instructors, which will help develop their creativity and expressive skills.  This interactive learning environment will allow students to experience the beauty of dance in a fun and relaxed setting.  After completing the workshops, students will participate in the joint-school finale performance, where they will receive guidance from instructors and benefit from professional stage production.  This experience will further enhance their performance skills and overall experience.

Phase 1:
In-school Chinese Dance Showcase (1 performance)#

September to October 2025

Through the Chinese dance demonstration and engaging interactive activities, this showcase allows students to easily recognize the beauty of traditional Chinese culture, fostering their artistic appreciation skills.  This showcase not only highlights the content of the training programme but also educates students on how to appreciate Chinese dance and the cultural essence it represents.  Students gain insights into various ethnic cultures and artistic styles, deepening their understanding of Chinese culture.

Each showcase can accommodate up to 400 audience members.  The arts group recommends that schools choose this optional activity as one of the "promotion of Chinese culture immersion activities" under the Education Bureau's initiative, to enhance students' learning experiences related to Chinese culture.

#Optional activity: Under this training programme, schools can choose to join or not to join the activity.  The additional performance fee payable by schools for this activity is $10,000/performance.

Phase 2:
In-school Chinese Dance Workshop (20 sessions)

November 2025 to June 2026

The dance workshop focuses on three key areas: "Chinese dance basic skills training", "creation" and "performance skills", all designed to enhance students' Chinese dance abilities and creativity.  Instructors will introduce fundamental techniques and body rhythm training specific to Chinese dance, helping students improve their flexibility, muscle control, coordination, and rhythm.  This will provide them with a solid foundation in the body rhythm of Chinese dance.

Throughout the creative process, instructors will offer professional guidance, and the interactive teaching style will foster a relaxed learning environment.  This atmosphere will encourage students to explore their creativity and develop their expressive skills.

Phase 3:
Professional Dance Appreciation Activity (1 session)

December 2025 or March 2026

(Date and venue to be confirmed)

Each participating student will have the opportunity to attend a performance by the Hong Kong Dance Company at the theatre.  The arts group will also arrange a guided session before or after the show, where students can learn about the programme and the different cultural and artistic styles involved.  This experience will enhance their ability to appreciate art and expand their artistic perspective.

Phase 4:
Joint-school Finale Performance (1 performance)

July 2026

The joint-school finale performance will take place at a professional venue outside of the school.  During this process, instructors will guide students through the creative journey, helping them transform their ideas into dance movements that convey emotions.  Using choreography techniques, instructors will assist in arranging the students' creative work into a complete performance piece.  With the support of professional stage production, students will present their collaborative creation on stage.
