About the Programme

The programme is produced and performed by School of Chinese Opera, The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA).  With a view to arouse participating students' interest in Cantonese Opera and to enhance their knowledge in the history and characteristics of this traditional art form, demonstration of basic skills and interactive activities (including costume try-on, gesture and movement demonstration) will be carried out on top of Cantonese Opera excerpt performance.

About the Art Group

Established in 2013, School of Chinese Opera, HKAPA aims to provide high-quality education and professional training in Chinese Opera.  Through performances, education, community outreach and school engagement activities, the School promotes Chinese Opera to the community, and helps preserve and rejuvenates this traditional art form.
