About the seminar

Artistic Director of Class 7A Drama Group Limited, Dr Leung Shing-him (aka Yatyau) will share his experience in teaching and planning of applying classical Chinese learning through drama with actor’s demonstration during the seminar.  The seminar would allow teachers to have a better understanding of teaching classical Chinese through drama and would master their strategies and teaching skills of reading classical Chinese literature.

About the speaker

Dr Leung is the Artistic Director of Class 7A Drama Group Limited.  He graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) with a Doctor of Education (specialising in training teachers to apply drama as a teaching tool), Middlesex University in the United Kingdom with a Master of Arts in Theatre Arts (specialising in Shakespeare’s and Guan Hanqing’s plays), the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with a Professional Diploma (Distinction) in Playwriting of the School of Drama, and the CUHK with a Bachelor of Science (Honours).  He is currently serving as the School Development Director of the Quality School Improvement Project at the CUHK, providing professional development training for teachers in teaching with drama, project learning, STEM, and other areas.  He is skilled in assisting primary and secondary school teachers in integrating drama into classroom teaching, scientific exploration, project learning, and life-wide learning.

Recent works include The Sympathetic Detonation (director and playwright), musical Love at First Snow (playwright), and Ya can Breathe!! (director and playwright).
