About the Programme 

The Ballad of Mulan (《木蘭辭》) is a well-known masterpiece among the Chinese community, it will be presented based on its original text in classical Chinese.  The Peach Blossom Spring (《桃花源記》) is a top-notch introductory piece for learning classical Chinese which is simple but profound.  The Old Oil Seller (《賣油翁》) is a short piece with quite a few exquisite classical Chinese expressions making it fun to learn.  Through flexible and dynamic stage performance techniques to adapt the three classical Chinese pieces with different writing techniques and styles into dramas.  It is hoped that while enhancing students’ interest in classical Chinese, the performance can also expose students to theatrical art and broaden their horizons.

About the Arts Group

Class 7A Drama Group Limited established in 1997, is a professional theatre group receiving Year Grant from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council.  Based on high-quality texts, the arts group excels in producing concise and powerful drama performances.  The arts group is also one of the pioneers that integrates drama into teaching.  It has produced a number of performances in "Play with classical Chinese" which allow students to learn classical Chinese in lively dramas.
