PAD05 | Dance at Dawn 4 by City Contemporary Dance Company  (Completed)parent

About the Programme

Contemporary dance is no longer confined to appreciation but brings joy to the audience in the process.  Watching a dance performance activates our imagination and artistic senses, releases our energy and even heals ourselves emotionally.  City Contemporary Dance Company (CCDC) breaks through all the limitations and forms of performance by using dance as a tool for application to teach students to appreciate themselves and the process of dance creation through participation and interaction and build a deep relationship between dance and themselves.

About the Arts Group

City Contemporary Dance Company was founded in 1979.  As the chief modern dance troupe of Hong Kong, it has been repeatedly invited to perform overseas on behalf of Hong Kong and has won a reputation for its creative productions with plentiful characteristics of Hong Kong.  This "Dance at Dawn" series is led by Mr. Yuri Ng, the Artistic Director of CCDC, who will lead the audiences into the dance, in which ideas are expressed and exchanged through the body, leading to thoughts about the body and contemporary dance.

The programme is offered by the arts group in support of the "New to the Theatre: School Culture Day Scheme 2023/24".
