Tour and Workshop: DIY Your Own Lion Head

Ancestral halls are a unique aspect of Chinese culture.  Venues for worshipping ancestors and uniting clans, they also serve as social centres for clan members.  In this programme, the instructor will take students to see the exhibition about the development of Hong Kong and the folk culture in territory.  After the visit, the students will take part in an activity of making a paper model of lion head in front of an ancestral hall, so as to learn about the history of the territory and its tradition.
