The programme is produced and performed by The Young Academy Cantonese Opera Troupe.  With a view to arousing participating students’ interest in Cantonese opera and to enhance their knowledge in the history and characteristics of this traditional art form, demonstration of basic skills and interactive activities (including costume try-on, gesture and movement demonstration) will be carried out on top of Cantonese Opera excerpt performance.

Established in 2011, The Young Academy Cantonese Opera Troupe is curated by The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.  The troupe aims to nurture professional young Cantonese opera actors and accompanists so as to help preserve and rejuvenate this traditional art form.
