PAM02 | Toolbox Long March a space odyssey by Toolbox Percussion (Completed)parent

Toolbox Percussion recreates a concert experience to retrieve relevance to today’s unique culture and anticipation of space travel through performing new challenging percussion works that are superb in artistry, in-retrospective, and tightly interlocked with the galaxy.  The new work is a percussion-in-the-theatre work, leveraging the concept of the quotidian unheard sound of space, the new work titled "Toolbox Long March" blazes the trail for audience to run an energetic galactic journey with Toolbox Percussion.  From falcon launch pad to the milky way, from technical ambitions to curiosity at the exploring, from the moon to Mars, every scenario will be paired with percussive resonance in which the audience’s inspirational input is sought.

The musicians will use marimba, vibraphone to perform various pieces with the theme of "Space", including Gravity by Marc Mellits, Van Gogh from Space by Steven Snowden, Hurtling Through Space...at an Unimaginable Speed by David Maslanka, How The Stars Were Made by Peter Sculthorpe and Torched and Wrecked by David Skidmore.
