PAD04 | Modern Dance Creation in Progress – Dance Interaction and Appreciation by DancingAndy and Dancers (Completed)parent

Modern Dance is a creative and inspiring artistic medium that is closely related to personal experiences in everyday life.

The performance in the first half (30 minutes) is based on the theme of "Creativity/Inspiration/Expression".  Experience the theatre atmosphere and emotional body language by enjoying the dance performance.

For the second half (40 minutes), the stage is transformed into a "dance studio", starting with a simple warm-up followed by a few dance pieces created with different themes and forms, in which the students participate in the process of "building and reinventing" together.  The students learn to appreciate the creativity and compatibility of art and to respect the personal choices and expressions of different individuals.

Dance creation methods include:
Dance improvisation: following and responding to dance moves
Dance phrases: dancing to connect and interact
Exhibition: dance learning, group performance and role exchange
Inclusive dance: experience the spirit of inclusiveness together through the dance performance by the dancers of intellectual disability dance group and their mothers or elderly dance group and volunteers/social workers.

Andy Wong, who graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts having majored in ballet, is a well-known and active dance artist and choreographer in the Hong Kong arts field.  He founded DancingAngels in 2005 with a group of dance advocates holding a belief of "Art = Life", aiming at transforming their passion for dance into care and love for people around them, hoping to influence and move others through their performance so that our society will be warmer and more harmonious.
