This programme consists of two sessions:

Session One: Guided Tour – Chao Shao-an Gallery

This gallery is named after the renowned Chinese artist, Professor Chao Shao-an. In addition to Professor Chao’s artworks, this gallery also features newspaper clippings, sketches, manuscripts, seals, photos and video documentaries by and about the artist. His studio has been re-created in a section of the gallery so that students can experience the mood and atmosphere in which the artist worked.

Session Two: Workshop – A Chinese Painting Studio

After appreciating Professor Chao Shao-an’s paintings, the instructor will teach the students some basic techniques of Chinese painting, and guide them to create works by themselves.
