About the Group

Established in 1974, Yao Yueh Chinese Music Association is a registered charity that aims at promoting Chinese music, continuing the tradition, sustaining creativity, and serving the community. The group’s four ensembles, namely the core Yao Yueh Chinese Orchestra, the YY PopUp Ensemble, the Hong Kong Legends Chinese-Western mixed ensemble and the Yao Yueh Community Orchestra, are active in Hong Kong and other parts of Asia.

About the Programme

Featuring YY PopUp as well as elite athletes, ‘Music Pop-up in Community’ includes 20 touring performances, 3 workshops and 1 finale performance.  The programme itself is a combination of music and sports suitable for all ages, highlighting the strong relevance of music and sports to daily life and promoting the message of physical and mental health.
