About the Group

Established in 2003, Windpipe Chinese Music Ensemble is a professional Chinese music ensemble actively promoting local talent and producing quality chamber concerts.  The Group promotes Chinese music in the local cultural scene and presents traditional and contemporary works with a distinctive local flair.  It has premiered more than 60 pieces by local composers, and curated programmes of local music for performance in Hong Kong and over 20 countries/regions over the past years.  The Group is currently a three-year grantee of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council.

About the Programme

Music can heal and improve holistic well-being.  The Programme aims to promote the therapeutic power of music through musical activities, and in particular, help maintain wellness during the pandemic.  Activities will include concerts on the synergy of Chinese music, music therapy and health maintenance, talks by experts on Tai-chi and music and the development of Cantonese music, as well as an exhibition about Chinese music and healing.
