The Hong Kong Young Talent Cantonese Opera Troupe aims to provide systematic training and performance opportunities for local young talents to improve their artistic skills, to nurture them becoming the inheritors who help preserve and rejuvenate this traditional art form.  

The adapted version of excerpt The Monkey King Thrice Beats the Bony Ghost presents the thrilling story of the Monk Tripitaka and his three disciples in Journey to the West encountering the fearful Bony Ghost. Chinese surtitles will be provided during the performance to enhance their understanding of the story. Knowledge about Cantonese opera, including operatic song singing styles, body movements, gesturing, roles, masks and costumes, etc. will be infused into the performance to allow students to learn the basics in a relaxing atmosphere.
