About the Group

One Table Two Chairs Charitable Foundation Limited aspires to preserve the beauty of traditional Chinese Operas and relate them with modern life.  By giving a new look to Cantonese Opera, it seeks to appeal to the younger generations regardless of their home language for a stronger audience base for the art form.

About the Programme

Targeted at a general audience, “Cantonese Opera - Outside In” delivers talks and performances to explore the more audience-friendly side of the art form.  Once the audience understands the distinctive stage conventions of Cantonese Opera, the emotions and thoughts of the characters will easily resonate.  Programme participants will get to discover Cantonese Opera from a new perspective, and find this traditional yet vibrant art form much more approachable than it appears.
