About the Project

If an ancient poet encountered a modern rapper, how would they communicate?  Would they talk past each other?  Where there is conflict, there is drama.  The project "When Classical Chinese Meets Hip-Hop: A Theatrical Encounter", with drama as its core complemented by dance, visual arts and other activities, will invite the public to explore the fusion of drama and street culture.  Through a series of community arts and cultural activities suitable for all ages and accessible to everyone, the project brings arts into the community, enriching lives and encouraging active public engagement.

The project is also one of the activities in the Chinese Culture Promotion Series. The LCSD has all along promoted Chinese history and culture through organising an array of programmes and activities to enable the public learn more about broad and profound Chinese culture.
