About the Project

“Voices of Our Intangible Cultural Heritage” introduces intangible cultural heritage through the lens of Chinese music, inviting public to experience its cultural depth.  This project includes a musical theatre performance which weaves a whimsical journey across dynasties through Cantonese music; the lecture recital series showcases the richness and diversity of intangible cultural heritage by introducing traditional arts and distinctive instruments from different regions.  The project also features a lecture demonstration and exhibitions on Cantonese music, guiding the public to understand the close relationship between Cantonese music, Chinese music and intangible cultural heritage.​

The project is also one of the activities in the Chinese Culture Promotion Series.  The LCSD has all along promoted Chinese history and culture through organising an array of programmes and activities to enable the public learn more about broad and profound Chinese culture.  For more information, please visit www.lcsd.gov.hk/en/ccpo/index.html.
