Class 7A Drama Group - Interpretation of Classical Chinese Literature through Drama VI Pre-performance Talk and Performance

Trailer

Programme Contents

Since 2015/16, Class 7A Drama Group has successfully produced the Classical Chinese through Drama series, combining performances with pre-show introductory talks. This initiative offers senior secondary students an artistic experience that facilitates both drama appreciation and the study of Classical Chinese.

Classical Chinese through Drama VI will adapt three set of classical texts from the Senior Secondary Chinese Language curriculum into dramatic performances. The company will bring these texts to life, allowing students to "read" these essential works in a vivid format while providing teachers with a fresh pedagogical entry point.  In addtion, pre-performance talks will allow students to grasp the key points of several classical texts, supported by live demonstrations from professional actors to enhance learning outcomes.
