PAJ02 | Asia+ Festival 2026 : Teh Dar by Lune Production (Open Rehearsal)

About the Programme

Teh Dar, a tribute to the Tây Nguyênese people, the show combines contemporary acrobatics, inventive bamboo structures and traditional music to bring the wild beauty of the mountains to life.  The meaning of Teh Dar, "going in circle" in the K'Ho language, is a bamboo circus performance that celebrates the tribal culture of the Vietnamese Highlands.  The stage is layered with distinctive red soil to serve as a canvas for movement and ritual.  Breathtaking visuals are accompanied by live music played on traditional instruments like the gong, buffalo horn, T'rung (bamboo xylophone), long drum and percussions.  This creates a powerful soundscape rooted in a musical heritage – "Gong Culture" – recognised  by UNESCO.  Teh Dar captures the eternal cycle of life, representation of majestic mountains and the enduring spirit of tradition amid modernisation.
