PAM04 | A Musical Journey of Roots by Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra

The programme is offered by Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra in support of the "New to the Theatre: School Culture Day Scheme 2026/27".

About the Programme

The Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra will present Chinese culture and historical stories from a fresh perspective, vividly conveyed through a selection of Chinese orchestral music.  It will take students on a musical journey through history - from ancient times to the present, covering traditional festivals, ritual culture, and core values. When listening to the pieces, students will experience the deep historical and cultural heritage of several thousand years and discover the unique customs, cultures, and sounds of each region, inspiring them to appreciate the charm and spirit of Chinese culture.  The programme also introduces the full-sized Chinese orchestra through performances of several Chinese musical classics, and giving listeners a chance to appreciate the charm and spirit of each musical genre.  There's so much to learn through music!
