M04b | Staircases, Motifs & Mosaics: A Kom Tong Hall Discovery Tour

Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum is located in the Kom Tong Hall, a declared monuments in Hong Kong and one of the best-preserved buildings dating back to the early 20th century.  Museum docents or staff will begin by introducing the architectural features of Kom Tong Hall and guiding students to appreciate its historic significance.  Working in small groups, students will act as "junior docents": each group will select key architectural features they consider essential to introduce and prepare a short presentation to share and discuss with the other groups.

Following the presentations, students will produce ceremonial coins featuring the exterior of Kom Tong Hall to reinforce their learning and deepen their understanding of the building's heritage.
