Tour

The Hakka people were among Hong Kong's earliest settlers. In the past, Chai Wan was home to several Hakka villages, but with the city's expansion,only "Law Uk" remains today. This centuries-old house, with a history of more than two hundred years, stands as a rare and invaluable witness to theHakka community's roots in Hong Kong. It is also a valuable historical site for the study of local culture. Through the guided tour, students gain insight into the daily lives, food culture, and household practices of the Hakka people. From farming tools to domestic utensils, and at the same time, the visitoffers students a deeper understanding of Chai Wan's historical transformation.
