About the workshop

Created by Musette Tsang, an experienced children's drama educator and Creative Director of One Table Two Chairs Charitable Foundation, the training workshop for teachers introduces Chinese opera and Cantonese opera in an engaging way, with professional Cantonese opera performer demonstrating movements and gestures to help participants experience Chinese aesthetics.  Musette will provide guidance and lead the participants to design Chinese culture child-oriented learning activities.  The workshop aims to enhance teachers' understanding of Cantonese opera, and equip them with pedagogy strategies and techniques to better connect with kindergarten and primary school students, boosting their confidence and professional development in teaching Chinese culture and art.

Application can be submitted online through the "Art Connect: Arts and Culture Platform for Hong Kong Schools" under the webpage of "New to the Theatre : School Culture Day Scheme 2025/26".  Limited quota will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis.

Limited quota will be offered on a first-come first-served basis.  Please provide teaching subjects in the remarks column of the application.

The workshop is also one of the activities in the Chinese Culture Promotion Series.  The Leisure and Cultural Services Department has all along promoted Chinese history and culture through organising an array of programmes and activities to enable the public learn more about broad and profound Chinese culture.
