The programme is offered by Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra in support of the "New to the Theatre: School Culture Day Scheme 2025/26".

About the Programme

The concert this year will continue the theme of 'A Musical Journey of Cathay', which showcases a variety of musical customs from all across China, taking students on a musical journey that spans from the rustic majesty of the north to the elegance of the south, and the melodious tunes of minority groups.  As pupils listen to the performance of Chinese music, they experience the unique customs, cultures, and sounds of each region, which serves as a wonderful geography lesson and inspires interest in Chinese culture.  The programme also introduces the full-sized Chinese orchestra through performances of several Chinese musical classics, and giving listeners a chance to appreciate the charm and spirit of each musical genre.   There's so much to learn through music!
