Popular culture is a reflection of time, marking the legacy of each generation, allowing people to experience the past and shape the future in the present.  "The Cantonese Opera Renaissance" meticulously examines the radiant Chinese operatic art through touring performances, talks, and portable interactive exhibitions.  This project invites audiences to appreciate the charm of traditional Chinese culture, understand cultural developments across different historical contexts, and reflect on the relationship between tradition and humanity.

The project is also one of the activities in the Chinese Culture Promotion Series. The LCSD has all along promoted Chinese history and culture through organising an array of programmes and activities to enable the public learn more about broad and profound Chinese culture.
