Class 7A Drama Group is an over 20-year-old professional drama group funded by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. Based on high-quality texts, it excels in producing concise and powerful drama performances. The Group is also a pioneer in integrating drama into teaching. It has produced a number of performances in “Play with Chinese” to help students learn classical Chinese. 

The Peach Blossom Spring (《桃花源記》) is a deep yet simple piece of fantastic writing full of imagination; The Ballad of Mulan (《木蘭辭》) is popular and widely read and enjoyed; The Old Oil Seller (《賣油翁》) is short and concise yet profound in moral meaning, which demonstrates the sonorous beauty of classical Chinese. Through flexible & dynamic theatre style and traditional storytelling techniques, the performance adapts the above three classical Chinese articles with different themes and styles into a single play. It is hoped that students can get in touch with drama art while learning classical Chinese to broaden their horizons.
