About the Artist Ensemble

Wong Ka-kui, Cheung Tung-hoi and Ng Siu-wai of Blank Space Drumming Group, and Lee Tsz-kin of 'KI-in Ensemble氣在一' believe that drumming is motivational and brings inner peace.  They emphasise the idea of 'heart and drum beating as one' in their activities to strengthen the body, soul and drumming skills of the public so as to improve their self-awareness and give them peace of mind.

About the Project

"'The Power of Roots' – Symbiosis Between Community, Nature and Mindful Drumming" aims at community promotion of the art of Zen drumming as well as craftsmanship of the traditional fire dragon through workshops, camp and performances.  By integrating two icons of profound cultural legacy and historical wisdom, this project will enable the participants to reconnect themselves with their local communities, exploring the beauty of cohesive among the community, traditions and social groups.
